choosing perfect songs

soooz, over the course of my teenage years I wasn't really into Punjabi songs which really showed the lack of my brain cells, cebause Punjabi songs r the bomb...
and when u r actually a Punjabi and get the language and still havent listened to the epic songs, it really speaks of ur failure as a human

but like it wasn't my fault... i had grown up in the environment where speaking Punjabi was not something someone of my status/class/caste was supposed to do!!
my great-granddad had weird ideas... idk
it is so bad that i dont really have a Punjabi accent so i am not really comfortable speaking it in regular conversations... like i can read and write the language but my accent sucks...
it sounds like the wannabe accent of bollywood actors... (also y dont they use actual Punjabis for the scene??)

but like my sister has a nice accent and we r letting her delve into the language and explore it, as long as she speaks Hindi in home and public settings... some habbits r hard to get over i guess!!

anyway back to the songs!!
it all comes down to 3 things:

  1. the voice of the singer (i have listened to so many of Guru Randhawa's songs and Neha Kakkar's songs that i cant really take them any more!!)
  2. the beats (what wud Punjabi songs be without them EPIC beats?!)
  3. less sexist remarks (this is an important one... i have stopped listening to Honey Singh because of this!)
i dont really have a selected playlist but there r singers whose voice r absolute wonders!!
  • Amrit Mann - his voice is like hot melted chocolate drizzled over perfectly made brownies and i freaking love it!!
  • Singaa- CAN HE SING!!!!!!!!!! man he can and its BRILLIANT!!!
  • Parmish Verma- nice conceptual songs and fun and full of beats and party songs and happy and silly and mood lifting
  • Hardy Sandhu- the first song of his i listened to was Soch i think and WHAT A SONG!! also Kya Baat Hai is GOALS!!
  • Garry Sandhu- singer of Yeah Baby! NEED I SAY MORE??????
  • Jasmine Sandlas- Love the attitude, the songs, the over all effect and just HER!!
there r more AWESOME singers okay and i listen to them but like i am not really in the space to go over through everyone and write about them!! and like the Punjabi Music Industry is a wonderful space - SURF the hell outta it! (man i hope this was sponsored {but like who'd be that stupid!!??})

alsooooooo whats with Bollywood ruining Punjabi songs?
did ya know the song Soch in one of Akshay Kumar's movies was stolen from Hardy Sandhu without credit!! and the latest Wakhra Swag!!!!!!!!??????????? RUINED THE WHOLE ORIGINAL SONG!!!!! the RAP (SHAMELESS!!!!!!!!)

Dear Bollywood STOP STEALING OUR SONGS!!!!!! and ruining them!!

this post was supposed to be happy and healthy i think!!! eh!

okaaaaaaaaaaaay so which r ur fav songs and did u have weird language stories like me?? comment BElow

The Drawing End of a Year

It's another year; come and soon to be gone. not to be black mirror-ish but something very sinisterly fabricated all of this feels. (i just finished binge-watching the show) the way most of us feel the same thing, and then it's just its articulation on social media that manifests it and it comes true.  I read this the other day on Twitter that 'this Monday felt the most Monday-ish' and then when I thought about it did indeed feel that way. as if the feeling had just been evoked and come true.  like wishing on stars. does this writing have a mature feel to it? let be in on it in the comments if this is the type of content you'd want for future posts. I have recently come up with a weird problem. It's something related to covid. I had the asymptomatic type of it happen to me. my dad had it and then later I got the mild - a week loss of taste and then came Phantosmia! a repellingly disgusting disease... yes I asked god to give me a disease of sorts to help with my...

Chopsticks!!

in the pre dawning of my teenage years around age 9 or 10, I was a BIG BIG on chopsticks... acc to ye olde GOOGLE BABA  Chopsticks  are shaped pairs of equal-length sticks that have been used as kitchen and eating utensils in virtually all of East Asia for over four millennia. NOW, since I am a resident of South Asia and the period was pre-tech in my hands. I found about these sticks in this restaurant our family used to go to called 'HongKong' (I knoW) anyways!! this is also where I learned about Chinese Zodiac signs (I am a Rabbit) sOO I dont really remember how I came upon them because the common cutlery they used to have in this private section we used to go to was fork and spoon... but maybe it as my dad using these sticks one outing that made me want to try and learn the art... and after that, I used to ask someone to tell the waiter to get me chopsticks (cuz me shy!) and then I used to take my time with them being the still eating person with everyone waiting ...

How to Walk!!

As someone who recently became a 20-year old (yay me!!) you wud expect me to know this but noooo!! like all things in life like standing and sitting or eating... walking is also something i dont know how to do!!  while coming up for the idea of this blog I searched it on WikiHow!! and here is what i found: i mean!!!!! i just stomp my feet on the ground and hope for the best! but this is some hard core shit! also this is not just it; its also the question of: do you walk as a zig-zagging pattern? do you randomly keep your feet near one another and tread onwards? also when you see a random pattern on the ground do u follow it? also what are the hands supposed to do in this scenario? are they supposed to be: at ur side stuck swinging side by side as you go clasped at the back i mean the ways are endless!! also where are you supposed to look? on the ground or in front?? till here i think i have delved my self further into the I-don't-know-how-to-...
